As Typhoon Bualoi approaches, its outer circulation is expected to impact western Guangdong from September 28, possibly bringing heavy to torrential rain a head of the National Day holiday.

By 19:00 on September 27, Bualoi had reached typhoon strength and was located approximately 130 km south of Yongxing Island in Hainan. The storm is expected to move west-northwest at 20–25 km/h, passing south of Hainan on September 28 before making landfall along northern Vietnam overnight.

Although Bualoi itself won't hit Guangdong directly, its peripheral bands will cause heavy downpours across western counties on September 28. Rain should ease on September 29, and by September 30, much of Guangdong is expected to see cloudy skies with isolated (thunder) showers in the west.

In Guangzhou, the forecast calls for thunderstorms and localized heavy rain on September 28 (25–31°C), continuing into September 29 under mostly cloudy skies (24–32°C), with lingering storm chances on September 30 (24–32°C).
