Recently, a street photo taken in Guangzhou was reposted by a South Korean social media user as a scene in Seoul, amassing over one million views and sparking online debate.

Sharp-eyed netizens quickly identified that the image, taken last November near Science City Metro Station in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, shows silk floss trees in bloom under warm afternoon light. A bus in the photo clearly displays the words "Guangzhou Bus," confirming its true location.

After netizens exposed the deception, the South Korean social media user finally removed the post on March 29. Meanwhile, the actual photographer came forward: Luo Wenrui, a junior at Guangzhou College of Commerce. He is an amateur photographer and campus journalist who enjoys wandering the streets with his camera, capturing the scenery and human moments throughout the city.
