On September 5, Guangzhou Metro released an enclosure notice for the Fangbai Intercity Rainbow Bridge Station. In order to promote the construction of the Fangbai Intercity project, the construction unit plans to close part of Liuhua Road and carry out  the construction from 22:00 on September 9, 2023, with an estimated construction period of 28 months.

The enclosed parts include two lanes and pavements from the north to the south, the fast lane from the south to the north, and the middle green belt on part of Liu Hua Road. During the construction, a non-motorized lane and pavement from north to south will be set, and a slow lane and pavement from south to north will be retained.

Vehicles that previously traveled from north to south on Zhanqian Road can bypass Renmin North Road or Jiefang North Road to Dongfeng West Road via Zhanan Road, Zhanqian Crossroad, and Liuhua Road. Vehicles that previously traveled from north to south on the Liuhua Road can bypass Dongfeng West Road via Jiefang North Road and Renmin North Road.

Traffic arrangement of the construction area

The bus routes to be temporarily adjusted are Bus 52, 238, 260, 530, 552, Night 11, and the other buses that previously traveled in the direction of Xihua Road to travel via Liuhua Road, Renmin North Road, Dongfeng West Road, Xihua Road, and then connect back to the original routes. Bus 260 and 552 will add a stop on Liuhua Road (eastbound). The stops of bus 52, 238, 530, and Night 11 will remain unchanged.

In addition, the routes of bus 181, 275 and the other buses that previously traveled in the direction of Xihua Road will be temporarily adjusted to travel via Renmin North Road, Dongfeng West Road, and Xihua Road, instead of traveling via Liuhua Road, and then connect back to the original routes. The above-mentioned routes will temporarily cancel the Zhanqian Crossroad (westbound) stop and Liuhua Road (westbound) stop.
