The 134th Canton Fair heldfrom October 15 to November 4 in Guangzhou, covering an area of 1.5 million square meters, with more than 4,900 enterprises participating in the Canton Fair for the first time. There are5 key enterprisesfrom Guangzhou's Liwan District which set up 36 brand booths in total and 44 high-qualitycompanies with 86 booths.

Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group

Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group (GIIHG,) one of the newly entered the World's Top 500 enterprises, participated in the Canton Fair with its brands, including Wanbao, Wanli, Guangzhong, and other local brands. 

They have set booths in household appliances, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment, power and electric equipment, motorcycles, and other exhibition areas. Wanbao has consecutively participated in the Canton Fair since 1996. According to Wanbao's staff, the export venue of Wanbao compressor accounted for 30 percent of its foreign trade, better than in 2022.

Guangzhou Chemicals Import & Export Co., Ltd 

Guangzhou Chemicals Import & Export Co., Ltd (Former Name: Sinochem Guangzhou) was founded in 1976. With a registered capital of 50 million RMB, its total annual imports & exports exceed 150 millionUSD. The turnover is more than 1.6 billion RMB.

The Canton Fair exhibited daily personal care, chemicals for glass and ceramics, water treatment, dye and textile industry, raw materials for coating resin, food additives, and medicine.

On the eve of the opening of the first phase of the 134th Canton Fair, the White Swan Hotel held a welcome event with Chinese cultural characteristics for the  guests attending the Canton Fair. Nearly 100 foreign guests were invited to participate in the event. During the Canton Fair, the White Swan Hotel customized the Canton Fair ferry service for merchants from the hotel's private pier by a 45-minute boat ride to the Canton Fair pavilion.

The White Swan Hotel has noticed a significant increase in guests fromBelt and Road Initiativepartnercountries and has marked whether it contains pig products on the menu and description. The hotel alsoincreases the proportion of Western-style meals to 60%-75% in the breakfast buffet.
